HSN21km was an initiative to organise a marquee running event as part of the annual Hari Sukan Negara celebration, which falls on the 2nd Saturday of October each year.
With the support of the Minister of Youth and Sports YB Khairy Jamaluddin, the inaugural HSN21km took place on 8 October 2016 with a resounding 6,217 runners across 3 distances of 21km, 10km and the 5km fun run.
We aim to make HSN21km a regular feature in running calendar in Malaysia. We will constantly look at ways to improve the runners' experience.

Hari Sukan Negara (National Sports Day) was officially announced by Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia on 24 March 2015.
The annual Hari Sukan Negara celebration is earmarked for the second Saturday in the month of October.
The Hari Sukan Negara is an initiative by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, a proactive step towards transforming Malaysia into a Sporting Nation. This initiative is in tandem with the national agenda towards achieving Malaysia’s Vision 2020.
In 2016, in conjunction of the Hari Sukan Negara, the inaugural HSN21KM was organized to give runners a platform to run in support of the Hari Sukan Negara. There were 6,217 runners who had joined the fun at HSN21KM2016!
